Acquisition of Montescudaio Village

The new property in the Human Company portfolio

In October the Group the Human Company Group, active in accommodation and catering and a leader in Italy's open-air hospitality sector, announced the acquisition of Camping Village Montescudaio, scheduled to open in May 2020. The addition of the campsite in the village of the same name in Val di Cecina (PI), part of the circuit of the most beautiful villages in Italy, brings the number of Human Company's open-air facilities up to nine, thus consolidating its leadership in Italy and strengthening its presence in Tuscany, a region that remains strategic for the Group, hosting over a million visitors every year in the following sites: the Park Albatros Village on the Etruscan Coast (LI), the Norcenni Girasole Village in the Vandarno (FI) and Firenze Camping in Town at the edge of the Tuscan capital.

Immersed in a 170,000 km2 forest and about 4 km from the beach at Marina di Cecina, the new Human Company village, scheduled to open in May 2020, will be the focus of a project to implement and renew existing services. In terms of facilities, there will be a new pool/lagoon, water slide, supermarket with takeaway and pool bar. As regards accommodation, there will be new Giotto Plus, Leonardo, Eden and Greeny medium-high range units, new mobile homes built according to the principles of bio-architecture.

Marco Galletti, CEO of Human Company, commented, "With the addition of Camping Village Montescudaio, the Group's open-air facilities in Italy will increase to nine, of which four alone are in Tuscany. As well as growth in a region that remains strategic for us and where we total over one million visitors each year, this new acquisition consolidates our leading position in Italy's open-air market and is part of the Group's ongoing development plan, which includes the projects already underway at the Cavriglia Village Parco dello Sport, also in Tuscany, and the construction in Veneto of two of the largest villages in Europe: one in Eraclea and the other in Porto Tolle".
