La Grande Via, Human Company and ANTS present the new program dedicated to over 65s. A special project aimed at promoting health, well-being and longevity.
At the Norcenni Girasole Village, in the heart of Tuscany, the project dedicated to the over 65s of the La Grande Via association has met the ANTS protocol for a stay experience aimed at promoting health, well-being and longevity in the age of gold
A special project dedicated to the health of over 65s, to better enjoy the third age: from April the Norcenni Girasole Village, becomes the destination of "The Via della Longevità Felice” [The Happy Path to Longevity], an original two-week experiential path created by La Grande Via, the association founded by the epidemiologist Franco Berrino and the journalist Enrica Bortolazzi. Through food, meditation and regular physical activity implemented according to the exclusive ANTS protocol (Activity, Nature, Training, Sense), the retreat in the heart of Tuscany becomes an experience of physical, mental and spiritual regeneration.
Guided and supervised by doctors and professional experts, the project aims to introduce a correct lifestyle, which helps guests to regain activity or stay active in body and mind, providing them with specific tools and skills on natural remedies, eating habits, exercises on movement and meditation. This is all aimed at combating chronic diseases related to age and the rapid aging of the body. The program brings together the scientific skills of two professionals from the medical, food and sports sectors. On the one hand, Dr. Franco Berrino, physician and epidemiologist, former director of the Department of Preventive and Predictive Medicine of the National Cancer Institute of Milan; on the other Daniele Tognaccini, athletics coach and creator of Milan Lab, the high tech interdisciplinary centre of AC Milan and founder of ANTS.
The formula for a long and happy life is based on the is the combination of the Three Ways of well-being identified by Dr. Berrino: food, physical activity and spirituality. It is scientifically proven, in fact, that appropriate nutritional choices that favour traditional and simple Mediterranean cuisine and physical exercise programmes, associated with breathing and meditation techniques, are essential to prevent the accumulation of molecular and cellular damage which, over time, leads to the development of multiple chronic degenerative diseases and psychophysical decay.
At the heart of the physical activity protocol is ANTS, a unique and exclusive method developed by Daniele Tognaccini in collaboration with Human Company, the principles of which revolve around the concept of neuroplasticity, i.e. the ability of our brain to change over time in response to experience.
Through fun outdoor activities and experiences in Chianti, ANTS offers a new guided approach to psychophysical well-being and reconnection with oneself and with nature: from functional circuit training to jungle training, from stretching to nature trails up to tours on e-bikes, the participants develop their reactive and perceptive skills under the guidance of specialised trainers. A targeted training activity programme will be set up for each of these based on the results of the sensory plasticity, balance and reaction tests provided by the ANTS Lab.
Those who are willing to participate can book the package that includes a two-week stay, from April 21st to May 5th, in full board formula, by clicking here.
