More than 37 million in investments to expand the options and facilities available to guests, between nature, well-being, sustainability and the local area
Human Company has officially inaugurated the 2025 season with the reopening of all its sites in Tuscany, Veneto, Lazio and Luxembourg. In addition to the camping in town sites, the Fabulous village and the PLUS Florence, which are open all year round, six more of the Group's villages and Palagina (the estate immersed in the heart of Tuscany, where hospitality meets nature, education and traditions) are operational once again since 18 April. However, 24 May will mark the full start of the season, with the opening of hu I Pini village in Lazio.
"We have started the new season with a strong investment plan, designed to further enhance and strengthen the quality of our sites and facilities. Our guests' satisfaction remains at the centre of all our choices: before undertaking any new action, we listen carefully to their needs in order to translate them into increasingly authentic experiences and personalised and inclusive proposals," explained Domenico Montano, General Manager of Human Company. "Furthermore, we are still firmly committed to creating positive synergies with local organisations, ensuring that our sites are increasingly open and connected with the surrounding area. In fact, our villages and camping in town sites are the ideal bases to discover the micro-destinations in which we operate: these places may be off the traditional tourist trails, but they are well worth a visit."
INVESTMENTS
Like every other year, we are striving to offer our guests the most comprehensive stay experience possible, with a high level of attention to detail. Human Company has therefore invested over 37 million euros to further improve its sites and facilities. We paid particular attention to renovating our accommodation, to which we dedicated 13 million euros of the total investment. 300 new mobile homes have been installed, with a specific focus on design and sustainable materials, such as the eco-friendly fibre cement used as cladding for the latest-generation accommodation. In addition to continuing the technological retrofit project, aimed at reducing and monitoring the water and electricity consumption of the sites, we undertook the installation of new electric car chargers at the camping in town sites in Venice and Florence, hu Norcenni village and hu I Pini village, in addition to solar panels at Palagina, hu I Pini village and hu Firenze Certosa village. In terms of accessibility, we are also proceeding with the implementation of hu stay Smart For All mobile homes on our sites. This accommodation option is equipped with large internal spaces to meet the needs of all guests: from the even larger double bedroom with an en suite bathroom to the large shower, right through to the convenient access ramp, each element is designed to be functional and accessible.
WHAT'S NEW
In 2025, Human Company is introducing important updates to its facilities, starting with well-being and sport: essential avenues for the Group to involve guests of all ages. For little ones, hu Park Albatros village is expanding its Net Experience: an area of sprung nets suspended between the trees where kids can have fun jumping and playing with giant balls. This year at hu Altomincio village, the tree experience is growing to include the Kaa path, which offers a low-altitude space for guests under 3 years old to explore, climb and overcome obstacles in peace and safety. Adults, on the other hand, will be able to enjoy an adrenaline-filled experience at hu Norcenni Girasole village with the new zipline in the adventure park, while at hu Montescudaio village they can embark on a fitness itinerary completely immersed in the woods, with numerous stations and pieces of equipment. Year after year, we devote our attention to the activities and experiences on offer to our guests, which have evolved in line with our increasingly broad and engaging vision of edutainment. This concept, as upheld by the hu team, combines entertainment and education through unique experiences that can satisfy a wide and diverse audience. The goal is to foster quality time with a mix of inclusive content designed to suit the needs of all age groups, based on fundamental values such as promoting the local area, artisans and local traditions, as well as embracing nature and the seasons.
One of this season's most exciting innovations for nature lovers – and a great example of an edutainment proposal – is the Nature Hub: an interactive area dedicated to discovering the environment and biodiversity. This new experience, available at hu Altomincio village, hu Montescudaio village and hu Park Albatros village, allows guests to experience moments in close contact with nature, such as visiting an apiary, exploring a sensory garden, observing an "insect hotel" and trying their hand at many activities in the educational garden. Here, children and families can learn to grow and observe plants, and participate in educational workshops such as "Reuse, recycle, rediscover" and "Time to compost".
Across the various sites, there are many edutainment initiatives on the agenda: hu Altomincio Village is offering an archaeology workshop, where adults and children can explore the ancient civilizations of the area and reveal their most fascinating secrets; hu Park Albatros Village and hu Montescudaio Village are embracing traditional wicker crafts: under the guidance of expert craftsmen, little guests can try their hand at making woven baskets according to Tuscan traditions. Finally, at the Fabulous Village, visitors can discover precious gold leaf techniques in a tribute to Roman art, transforming thin golden sheets into unique jewellery. Additionally, we are offering many "local days": special previews hosted at the sites to offer guests a taste of upcoming events in the nearby towns; for example, San Vincenzo is bringing its "Gran Galà di Magia" to hu Park Albatros village. Similarly, the themed "special days" are held at various times throughout the season, opening up the sites to both guests and local residents, who can take part in numerous activities and enjoy culinary offerings specially developed for the occasion; during the beer and wine festivals, for example, the sites also work in collaboration with local producers. There is also no shortage of experiences that allow guests to discover the territories surrounding the sites, enjoying an authentic open-air holiday in contact with nature and local culture. Starting from hu Park Albatros village, for example, visitors can take a boat trip along the Etruscan coast to snorkel and explore some of the most beautiful underwater scenery in Tuscany. For anyone who loves walking, hu Norcenni Girasole village has planned an evocative night trek to discover the fascinating fauna of the forest and admire the starry sky. Developed by the Group in collaboration with Lonely Planet and the EDT publishing house, the "Territori da scoprire" project was born from a desire to promote local excellence. This partnership led to the creation of eight new and limited edition Lonely Planet mini-guides, each dedicated to the destinations that are home to the Group's sites: hidden gems with plenty of surprises to discover. The mini-guides are distributed free of charge in digital format to everyone who books a stay at the hu openair sites; they are also available in paper format, and can be purchased with a small donation, which is used entirely to support projects carried out by local associations.
Thanks to the Love Pet Pack programme, the hu openair sites are even better prepared to welcome four-legged friends in the 2025 season. Upon arrival, guests travelling with their pets will be given a welcome kit complete with accessories and useful products to ensure comfort and well-being from the very first day of their holiday. Furthermore, the accommodation in the villages boasts plenty of thoughtful details: from bowls for water and food to custom deckchairs to make pets feel welcomed and protected, just like at home. There are also many facilities specifically designed for furry friends, such as the new agility areas – where dogs can play in complete safety and have fun with the games on offer – available at hu Montescudaio village, the Fabulous village, hu Venezia camping in town and hu Park Albatros village. In the latter, there are also additional spaces reserved for pets, including the Dog Beach: a section of the water park solarium with custom-made loungers for the whole family. The various pet-friendly solutions also include dog bars, to keep furry friends hydrated, and gates on the verandas of the mobile homes to keep them safe. The food & beverage options have been enriched for the season with the opening of several new bars and restaurants, including the street food area at hu Park Albatros village and new pizzeria at hu Altomincio village. Additionally, the "taste shops" at hu Norcenni Girasole village have been renovated, with expanded menus, to offer an even more varied and authentic culinary experience.
PALAGINA: WHAT'S NEW
This year, Palagina, the Group's estate at the gateway to Chianti, has also been enhanced with new experiences. First of all, we are proud to present the agricultural village: an agri-campsite offering 12 glamping options, each themed according to different agricultural activities and professions: from the blacksmith to the farmer, not to mention the beekeeper. Each accommodation solution offers an authentic and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for anyone who wants to experience true rural life. Surrounded by lush fruit trees, a garden full of fresh vegetables, fragrant aromatic plants and farm animals, the village is the ideal place for a holiday dedicated to nature and tranquillity.
Secondly, the unmissable honey room is designed for anyone who wants to dedicate a night to apitherapy: an engaging wellness experience for couples, immersed in the world of bees. Close to the wooden house, there are hives that can be viewed in complete safety from the honey room: guests can enjoy the white noise of bee humming, with its powerful calming and relaxing properties that promote meditation, while the scents of wax, honey and propolis fill the space for a perfect aromatherapy experience. The large windows of the honey room allow visitors to admire the beautiful surrounding landscape and "Discover the world of bees", embarking on a journey to learn about the hive, the worker bees and the complex society of this insect, accompanied by an expert beekeeper.
