Investments of over 29 million euros to further enhance the offer and services for guests
Human Company has launched the seasonal reopening program of its sites: from 20 April, the camping in town, the Fabulous village, the facilities of the hu brand that are open all year round, have been joined by the other five villages of the Group located in Veneto, Tuscany, Lazio and Luxembourg. By May 24th, with the opening of the hu brand's I Pini village and a new destination in Tuscany, the Firenze Certosa camping, the Group will be able to count on the full operation of all its open air sites. Finally, the Human Company offer is completed with the latest generation hostel PLUS Florence in Florence, open all year round, e Palagina, the Group's estate in the heart of Tuscany where hospitality is all about nature, education and getting to know the local area, open from 22 March.
INVESTMENTS 2024
In order to offer its guests an increasingly complete experience with attention to every detail, the Group has made investments of about 29 million euros aimed at further improving its services and facilities. Like every year, great importance has been placed on the renovation of the accommodation park: an investment of more than 8 million has made it possible to install new mobile homes, with a focus on design and sustainability in the choice of materials. An important innovation is the creation of a new room class, namely hu stay excellence, which features even more upmarket accommodation. This also includes the project of technological retrofitting mobile homes through the use of IOT technologies to improve energy consumption, an ongoing project that will also see the active involvement of our customers in the coming seasons.
NEW DESTINATIONS
Human Company has recently completed the acquisition of a site in Florence Certosa, on the outskirts of the Tuscan capital, which can accommodate up to 700 guests per day; improvements are already underway for this village which will open the season on May 10th and which will next year officially become part of the circuit of hu openair sites, enriching the offer of the three camping in town sites currently operating. Also of great importance is the project to expand the hu Venezia camping in town, which is located on the outskirts of Venice, and where as many as 170 pitches will be created, making it a destination also for people travelling in camper vans or wanting to stay in tents.
WHAT'S NEW IN 2024 FOR HU OPENAIR SITES
There are many new features in terms of the services that are rolled out season after season, starting with sports. This year, in fact, guests will be able to enjoy a number of new dedicated proposals such as the outdoor gym at the hu Norcenni Girasole village. Developed together with Lacertosus, this facility provides guests with professional equipment for fitness enthusiasts who want to continue their workout plan even on holiday but in the open air. Special focus is also placed on sports activities in the camping in town sites where, thanks to a partnership with Virgin Active, guests will be able to take part in lessons and activities held by qualified instructors directly at the site.New features also include play areas for very young children, even more welcoming receptions, large areas dedicated to four-legged friends, but also a focus on mobility with new services connecting with the local area, as well as an updated offering of food and beverages. In view of the new season, we have also planted 1,000 trees at our sites, confirming the Group's commitment to maintaining and caring for green areas. Particular attention has been paid to expanding and updating the range of activities, events and excursions dedicated to guests staying in villages and camping in town sites. One new proposal, for example, is the "Rome by night" tour, which guests can experience during a stay in the Lazio sites (Fabulous village, hu I Pini village and Roma camping in town): a guided tour to savour the romantic atmosphere of the capital while discovering many interesting facts about the eternal city. The guests of the hu Park Albatros village, on the other hand, can embark on a journey of discovery of honey with a visit to a local educational farm with the chance to sample some of the honey. As for animation, the Group wanted to further enhance its calendar of activities with a 7-day-a-week service and more and more entertainment proposals for all guests. As always, the connection with the local area is essential, and this is achieved by enriching the entertainment calendar with a full programme of special events such as the grape and wine festival, which will also involve local producers, and workshops organised with local associations and artisans, ranging from pottery classes to hands-on workshops, to the astronomical observatory and nature workshops organised with WWF. Also worth mentioning are the special sneak previews that take place within the structures, which allow a taste of the events that will then take place in the neighbouring towns, such as the 'Atmosfere Medievali' event, organised by the Compagnia delle Contrade figlinesi, which will take place in Figline Valdarno and for which a foretaste will be given at the hu Norcenni Girasole village.
“ We expect a very positive 2024 season which will consolidate the excellent results achieved in 2023. This year, too, we have made a series of investments aimed at both improving the infrastructure and re-designing our guest facilities. Equally important for us is the continuous commitment to strengthening relationships with the local area, introducing numerous projects and initiatives, and in promoting the outstanding features of our host destinations. Indeed, our primary goal remains to ensure that our guests feel their time with us is well-spent, a time in which they can live freely and in a space that opens up more and more each year to exchanges with local communities.” says Domenico Montano, General Director of Human Company.
